Duluth Police Department’s K9 Luna will be safer on the streets with some new body armor.

The donated body armor was gifted by non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, the vest will also be embroidered with the tribute “In memory of K9 Haas, Duluth Police Department, MN”.

According to a social media post, "Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a 501c (3) charity located in East Taunton, MA whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States." Duluth Police Department expects delivery of the new vest in eight to 10 weeks.
