According to WDIO the Duluth Police Department reported that  at 7:28pm on Saturday January 14th an officer had stopped a black Chevy Tahoe on Glen Place to speak to the driver as the plates on the vehicle came back stolen.

The driver initially jumped out of the vehicle and was ordered to get back inside. While the officer was waiting for back up standing next to his vehicle the driver of the Tahoe put the vehicle in reverse and rammed the squad car and took off. Fortunately the officer was not hurt, but the suspect did manage to get away.

The vehicle was found abandon on the 2900 block of West Second Street. The suspect is still at large and described as white male, wearing a black jacket, dark-colored jeans, white shoes and a black baseball cap. It was later determined that the vehicle was also stolen.
