The seasons may change, but one thing that stays consistent year-round is the need to have some family fun and, ideally, not break the bank doing it.

Recently, I shared a Facebook post that recommended a visit to the Shoreview Commons Destination Playground. Hopefully, you had time to visit that amazing park already because now there's another park you must add to the family road trip wish list.

On Tuesday, Minnesota Parent shared another park that has an unbelievable array of things to climb on, slide down and just have fun with. It's French Lake Park, which is located within Clifton E. French Regional Park in Plymouth, Minnesota.

According to the Minnesota Parent Facebook post, the park offers:

  • Iconic towers
  • 47 Climbable Nets
  • 6 Slides
  • Adorable Playhouse
  • Swings
  • Independent play areas
  • Lots of tables and shade
  • Music activities
  • Water mister
  • Access to Medicine Lake
  • Walking Paths and Bridges and SO much more!

Clifton E. French Memorial Park sits along the north shore of Medicine Lake and, according to their website, there are a variety of opportunities for outdoor exploration.

Throughout the year, French Regional Park offers amenities such as a swimming beach, fishing pier, lighted trails and more.

While we have likely seen the last of summer-like temperatures in the Northland, fall brings plenty of great days where a road trip to Plymouth would be a great way to see the fall colors along the way.

If you do make a visit to French Lake Park, be sure to share your experience with us! You can upload photos anytime through our station mobile app.
