First Avenue Starting Monthly Book Club Subscription

The live music industry has been completely devastated by the COVID-19 pandemic, so venues are trying anything to make a buck just to survive.

The legendary First Avenue in Minneapolis is slowly starting to get back to in person events, but in the meantime they are trying some new things, and one of those is a new monthly subscription box service.

Each month, members of the First Avenue Book Club will get one music related book, and one piece of First Avenue merchandise. The subscription service comes in an adult version and young adult version. The books will be either a autobiography, a fictional work, or a retrospective.

First Avenue says it has partnered with a variety of local Minneapolis book stores including, Moon Palace, Next Chapter, and Wild Rumpus. Each month of the First Avenue Book Club is $40.99. They are currently selling by the month, or you can sign up and pay for 3 months in advance.

The first boxes will start going out in 4-6 weeks and can be pre-ordered now by visiting here. October's boxes will start shipping in mid-November they say. What a great holiday gift for someone that is a fan of the Minnesota music scene.
