There are few people in this world that are as nice as Taylor Dayton. He was the morning weather meteorologist for our news partners at WDIO for several years. We got to know him in that amount of time, and I have to say it was a bummer when he moved away to pursue other interests and opportunities. We considered him a friend and even bought him lunch a time or two when he won a weather bet.

Well, the good news is we can still see him all the time! Taylor has launched his own science experiment channel on YouTube along with his own website Playing With Rain. His goal with Playing With Rain is to educated kids and adults with fun experiments that they can do at home. Check out this fun video of an experiment where he gets water from a plate to rise up into a jar using matches. I can't wait to try it myself!

How cool is that?  Taylor's background in weather provides him with vast scientific knowledge of a lot of cool experiments. He teaches you how to make instant snow, how to freeze water instantly, how to fire proof a balloon, and even how to make a cloud in a bottle. The guy is just getting started too.

I've subscribed and I can't wait to try this stuff with my kids. Most of the experiments are relatively easy that don't require a bunch of fancy science equipment. I think this is some great work for Taylor Dayton and fits him quite nicely. Keep it up TayTay. (That's what we called him on air.)
