Great Lakes Aquarium is offering its Summer Camp this summer with a twist.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Great Lakes Aquarium is doing a Summer Camp in a Box for kids from Kindergarten to 5th grade this summer.

For $99 (add another kid for $40) plus shipping you'll get a week's worth of activities that includes all the material you'll need, access to an online video kick-off for each day, and access to a live virtual camp session in the afternoon to wrap up the day.

Kindergarten – 2nd Grade can enjoy two options, 'Stories of Superior', in which kids explore and learn about Lake Superior and, 'Our Wild Neighbors', which give kids the opportunity to learn about the animals we live within the area.

3rd – 5th Grade has the options of 'Animal Superheroes' which explores animals that have superpowers like super speed, invisibility, or that can fly, and/or the box themed 'Scientists at Home' which gives the kids the chance to do a variety of home experiments.

Summer Camp in a Box starts on the week of June 15th and runs various weeks throughout the summer, you can check out the dates and register for whatever weeks you're interested in at the Great Lakes Aquarium website here.

All boxes can be shipped and they are asking to register at least 14 days in advance if you choose to have the box shipped, they will have a pick-up option available if you'd like to avoid shipping charges.
