Heavy Metal and Classical Collide for Unique Minnesota Concert
Get ready to bang your head to the sounds of violins and saxophones playing a selection of heavy metal classics at this unique concert coming to Minnesota.
The crossing of musical genres is not the only thing that makes this concert a one of a kind show, the show is also performed in a candlelit setting with the performers wearing rhinestone skeleton masks.

A Mix of Genres Come Together
Hennepin Arts announced that "The Rock Orchestra by Candlelight" is bringing its unique brand of entertainment to the State Theatre in Minneapolis on Tuesday, April 29th, 2025.
The 90-minute concert will feature a variety of iconic rock & roll and metal anthems performed by an orchestra of 14 classical musicians. The show features songs from bands like AC/DC, Metallica, Evanescence, Papa Roach, and many more.
When Do Tickets Go On Sale?
Tickets for the show go on sale to the general public on Friday, November 22nd at 10 AM through HennepinArts.org. There is also an opportunity to score tickets before the general on sale, go to rock-orchestra-presale.com and sign up for the presale.
Judging by other shows that are already on sale, ticket prices look to be anywhere between $50 and $150+.
The stage for the show features hundreds of lit candles in a gothic setting of stacks of skulls and a giant skeleton head as the centerpiece. The show has toured all around the world and is highly recommended by professional reviewers and audiences alike.
