In Honor of the Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament, A Music Video From 1985 Has Surfaced Proving That “Hockey Hair” is Nothing New [VIDEO]

With the hype of the Minnesota State High School Boys Hockey Tournament underway many topics of conversation are the awesome hairdos of some of the players, this my friends is nothing new.

Back in 1985 WCCO T.V. in the Twin Cities highlighted some local schools in the state tournament and Hastings was one of them. To show their support and school spirit the students put together a music video. Looking back on this today it is hilarious, the fashion, the sunglasses and of course the hair!

Watching the tournament last night I could not help but notice some local guys from the Hermantown Hawks boldly shaking their long locks for the camera. I guess as long as hockey is around the long feathered or mullet look is here to stay. Go Hawks!
