Jeanne Ryan Takes a Tour of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Alder [VIDEO]

We have all see the Coast Guard ships in and out of the Twin Ports , and I was lucky enough to come onboard and take a tour.

One of the officers Mr Vaughn was kind enough to sit down with me and explain exactly what this particular ship does. I have to admit I was very surprised by the sheer size of the ship and buoys that they have to put back into Lake Superior every season .

It takes a lot of dedication to do this job, along with the fact that you could be away from home for a month at a time in some situations. On behalf of all of us that you protect and serve We Thank You!
