The Jonas Brothers were named one of the headliners for the 2023 Minnesota State Fair's list of Grandstand performers earlier this year, setting off a frenzy among fans excited to mix the Great Minnesota Get-Together with their favorite band.

As their September 1 show date drew closer, news came out that their Grandstand show would be significantly shorter than other stops on their current tour. This was clearly concerning news to fans.

As the JoBros continue their "Five Albums, One Night Tour" most of their concerts have come in around 3 hours in length. This 180-minute marathon brings fans on a musical journey through the group's whole musical catalog. It came out just days before their performance at the State Fair that their show would only be 75 minutes - only 41% of the running length of their other shows on this tour.

The time restriction was not a decision of the bands, but rather a limitation imposed for grandstand performances by fair officials.

The afternoon of their show, the band shared a social media message that explained they were able to work with fair organizers to extend their initially allotted time from 75 minutes to what would end up being 110 minutes.

While they were able to gain just over a half hour on their initial show window, they still had to modify their show. The Star Tribune referred to the show as "the musical equivalent to speed dating", with fans having mixed feelings about the abbreviated experience.

Some fans were quite upset about the situation. Tickets for the show were as high as $207, and the news that the show would be shorter than their other shows wasn't clear to fans until the week of the show.

Other fans were a little disappointed, but there was still a lot they loved about it.

Meanwhile, some people didn't even know the JoBros were in town.

The good news for fans, whether they were at the State Fair show or not, is that they'll be back - soon! Fans are well aware of that, with many commenting on social media how they're excited to see them when they come back to the Land of 10,000 Lakes later this year.

Fans will be able to get the full "Five Albums, One Night" experience when the group comes back to Minnesota on November 19, 2023, for a show at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
