Star Minnesota Vikings Wide Receiver Just Got Arrested

It has been just over a week since the Minnesota Vikings ended a disappointing season, and just days removed from the conclusion of the season, some new disappointing news is coming out about one of the team's offensive stars.
The Vikings' number two wide receiver, Jordan Addison, is once again in legal trouble following a new arrest that occurred just this week.
Twin Cities TV sports anchor Alec Asmus tweeted a mugshot and booking info for Addison, who was arrested on Monday (January 12) in Tampa, Florida, and booked into the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
The arrest happened around 3:45 am on January 12 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, with reports saying the arrest was due to an alleged misdemeanor, "probable cause trespassing". Addison was booked at 7:30 am on Monday, being released by mid-afternoon on a $500 bond.

Pro Football Talk reports Minnesota Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell spoke briefly during a scheduled end-of-season press conference today (January 13).
Speaking on the Addison arrest, KOC said, "I just learned about that very, very recently, so I don't want to speculate on that in any way, shape, or form. We gotta get as many facts and find out exactly what happened. Speculating at this point would be incredibly premature for me."
This comes after a misdemeanor speeding charge in the summer of 2023, when Addison was caught going 140 mph on a Twin Cities roadway, and a summer 2024 driving under the influence charge in California after being found asleep at the wheel of a vehicle blocking a lane of traffic.
The 2024 incident led to a three-game suspension at the beginning of the 2025 season.
Through his first three seasons in the NFL, Addison's stats have slid from his rookie highs.

In his rookie (2023) season, Addison notched 911 yards and 10 touchdowns in 17 game appearances. In 2024, he earned 875 yards and 9 touchdowns in 15 games, and 610 yards and 3 touchdowns in 14 games in his suspension-shortened 2025 season.
The Minnesota Vikings have until May to decide whether or not to pick up Addison's fifth-year option to keep him under contract with the team.
Vikings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah commented on the arrest and Addison's future on Tuesday, saying "99 percent of the days that Jordan Addison is a Viking, he is a joy to be around. He is incredibly intelligent, confident, responsible. And then, like all of us, it’s what are you like on those 1 percent of those days? Is it the type of thing that draws attention or not?"
While Kwesi shared support for Addison, he continued by mentioning that the situation is "something we have to consider" as the team considers the future of not only Addison, but also other players at the position, like Jalen Nailor, as the team figures out what to do with the roster during the offseason.
