Neighbor Races To Help Shot Child
The Star Tribune reports that Troy Young was sitting on his porch when he heard screams for help. He quickly got in his truck and drove to the scene, where he found "a teenager holding a small boy in his arms, with gunshot wounds and blood covering his face."
Young put the boys in his truck and sped toward the nearest hospital. On the way, they flagged down a police officer. The officer immediately called for EMS and firefighters and began CPR.

Police Seek Justice in Minnesota
Despite efforts to save the boy, he died at the scene. Now police are searching for justice for him and his family.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara told the media, "We need anyone with information to come forward so we can bring some sense of justice to this child’s family. We are following every lead, but we need the public’s help to solve this.”
Remembering Amir Lamar
The boy has been identified as Amir Lamar. A GoFundMe page set up for his family described him as "a joyful, loving child whose laughter filled our hearts. He had a unique spark that touched everyone he met, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled."
