Skyline Social And Games’ New Twin Cities Location Preparing To Open – What To Expect

The wait is nearly over for a popular Duluth area business's expansion to the Twin Cities to open to the public.

Last spring, I shared that Hermantown's Skyline Social and Games was planning to build a second location in the Twin Cities, constructing a similar facility in Apple Valley to that of their Twin Ports location.

Planning documents shared last year for the Skyline location's construction in the Orchard Place development in Apple Valley revealed a 97,200-square-foot combined indoor-outdoor space that will feature the same types of activities as the original location in the Twin Ports.

Of the more than 97,000 square feet, 46,200 square feet will be indoor space with 20 bowling lanes, 12 duckpin lanes, 5 axe throwing lanes, an arcade, and banquet & meeting spaces.

The remaining 51,000 square feet of outdoor space will feature 9 sand volleyball courts, 12 cornhole courts, 4 bocce courts, and an indoor/outdoor bar, outdoor dining seating, and covered patio space.

Work got underway last fall, with groundbreaking and construction efforts through the remainder of 2025 and into 2026 to prepare the space to open yet this summer.

Skyline Social and Games shared on social media that the new Apple Valley location will be opening on Friday, July 24, to the public. In their announcement on July 20, they also shared that online reservations are already open for the various activities at the new location.

In addition, the Twin Cities location is holding a hiring event on July 27 to add additional staff for the new location.

While the Twin Cities area is in for a real treat with the addition of this new activity venue like the one we've enjoyed in the Twin Ports area for years, it is exciting to see a Northern Minnesota business expand into the Twin Cities. Usually it seems to be the other way around.
