The Minnesota Historical Society will be honoring the life and legend of Prince by displaying one of his most popular outfits of all time from the movie "Purple Rain."

It is hard to believe that Prince has been gone a year on April 21st, I still am having a hard time processing it all. But this week, tributes will be happening all over the world, especially in Minnesota.

Starting today through Sunday April 23rd the Minnesota Historical Society will have a special Prince display that will not only showcase his famous outfit that he wore to sing the song" Purple Rain" in the movie, but also recently acquired handwritten lyrics signed by Prince from 1977.

The public can view the display located on the first floor lobby, for free during regular History Center hours: Tuesday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, Noon to 5 p.m.

The Minnesota History Center s located at 345 W. Kellogg Boulevard in St. Paul.
