New Minnesota Halloween Event Features Over 10,000 Carved Pumpkins
Halloween's popularity keeps growing like a pumpkin patch, with more people decorating and attending spooky events. Minnesota's latest addition to the lineup looks truly gourd-geous.
This new event is part of a growing Halloween empire of attractions just north of the Twin Cities in the small town of Wyoming. Originally founded as a Christmas tree farm in the 1950s, Pinehaven Farm has transformed itself into a Halloween and fall destination for families and Halloween thrill seekers.

In 1996, Pinehaven Farm decided to put its effort into fall activities, and today that has grown into a yearly event that features over 30 attractions for families. That eventually led to the creation of the Dead End Hayride in 2006, that has grown into one of the top Halloween events in the country.
Now they are taking that experience and launching another event, The Great Pumpkin Trail will make its debut starting on October 4th. With over 10,000 carved pumpkins on a half-mile trail, this event looks like another smashing good time.
The Great Pumpkin Trail will feature spooky and whimsical pumpkin faces, each telling "its own unique story." The trail will be lit by the glow of the many pumpkins and other themed lighting in the surrounding woods.
After its opening weekend, the event will be open Wednesday through Sunday, starting at either 6 PM, 6:30, or 7 until November 2nd. Parking is free, and kids 2 and under a free.
You'll need a pick a time slot for the event, and ticket prices range from $17 to $26, depending on date and if you buy tickets online or at the event.
