It is again a mixed week of new releases and older artists coming back with new material or greatest hits which is always nice.

1.) David Archuleta "Begin."He is back, older and more mature, under the watchful eye of his father I am sure. Archuleta was on the last season that I actually intently tuned into American Idol. I loved his innocence and talent even though his dad's overbearing nature made me feel for him and root even harder for him as well. Check out the interview for an in depth look at his new album out today.

2.)Bruce Hornsby -  "Red Hook Summer: Music From The Original Motion Picture" (Spike Lee film opens in New York on Aug. 10 and nationwide in successive weeks)- I love the haunting voice of Bruce Hornsby, and what a great combo writing music for a soundtrack for Spike Lee.

3.) Sixpence None the Richer -  "Lost in Transition" (first full-length album in 10 years)-Remember them? KISS ME ring a bell? Yep that song will be stuck in your head all day now....you're welcome.

4.) Various artists - "NOW  That's What I Call Party Anthems" (18 hits, featuring LMFAO, Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Katy Perry, Gotye, Lady Gaga)- This is all you need to pop in when the party is starting to die down, or pop in the c.d. and roll the windows down singing your heart out.

I saved the best for last, both of these groups bring back some great memories.

Jesus Jones - "The Collection" (two CDs, 36 songs)

Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam with Full Force - "Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam with Full Force" (1985 album; remastered, with five bonus tracks)
