Claiming that banning all sugary beverages over 16 oz. within the city of new York will help the obesity problem in the city, Mayor Michael Bloomberg plans to move forward with a ban that will surely be unpopular among freedom loving consumers and beverage companies in America's biggest city.

According to the New York Times the ban wouldn't  apply to diet pop, fruit juices, dairy-based drinks like milkshakes, or alcoholic beverages and it wouldn't extend to beverages sold in grocery or convenience stores.

For the ban to become reality for NYC residents the ban requires the approval of the Board of Health, a step that is considered likely because the members are all appointed by the Nanny in Chief Bloomberg.

The hypocrisy of this is unbelievable, you can walk down any random block in NYC and buy a dozen Dunkin Donuts, half dozen Cannolis and a hot dog with cheese, chilli and bacon on it, but can't buy a 67 oz. Super Duper Big Gulp to wash it down with? What a bunch of communist B.S. If this is allowed to happen in the largest city in the country it won't be long before it's here in the Twin Ports.
