NFL Says Seattle Committed a Penalty on Blocked Vikings Field Goal
This will just fuel Vikings fans who claim that the NFL has it out for the Purple and Gold.
The NFL's VP of Officiating said that Seahawk Bobby Wagner committed a foul when he hurdled a couple of Vikings and blocked a field goal attempt in the fourth quarter of Monday nights game.
During a video that the NFL releases weekly discussing officiating, Al Riveron said while showing the clip, "this is a foul". He said that Wagner "put both hands on a teammate and he’s going to use his teammates to leverage himself to get to the other side.”
You can see the video and watch the entire explanation here, the Vikings' segment starts at about the 3-minute mark.
The officials originally threw the flag but after some discussion picked it up and declared that no foul had been committed....WRONG!
