There are more residential areas in Duluth than freeway, drivers need to slow down and pay attention to their surroundings. I understand sometimes people run late and tend to in a rush, but it shouldn't put the lives of multiple other people in danger.

About a month ago there was a car accident in my neighborhood. The cars t-boned each other and one of the cars ended up in a front yard. Clearly they were going way too fast in general, let alone in a residential area. Lately I feel like no one knows what the speed limit is anymore. Thankfully everyone involved in this accident was okay and walked away with minor injuries.

What would have happened if the homeowners kids were playing in the front yard? There are a bunch of 'slow down' signs and 'kids playing' signs in my neighborhood, but I still have that fear of something bad happening. No one wants to hear something bad happening to their kids, especially if it could have been avoided in the first place.

Please be careful when driving, I can't stress that enough. If you need to set extra alarms to leave early so you're not in a rush, do so. The speed limit is 30 mph in residential areas, there's no reason to go faster than that. Take those extra steps to ensure everyone's safety. Pay attention to the speed limit and be aware of what's around you at all times.

Thank you!
