This is really sad.

One of the leaders of the Proctor Boy Scouts of America Troop recently shared in a local Facebook group that the covered gear trailer they use for things like their upcoming camping outing has been stolen.

The trailer disappeared a few days ago from the parking lot at the United Lutheran Church in Proctor, where it is usually stored.

Inside the covered trailer was nearly all of the troop's camping gear that they were going to use for a week-long camping outing scheduled to start this Sunday, July 27.

In response to the trailer going missing, the troop is looking for the public's help in a few different ways.

The first is simply asking anyone who might have seen the trailer around to share details with the Proctor Police Department. As you can see in the photos in this article, it is a white covered trailer that says "BSA Troop 84 Proctor, MN" on the side with some outdoorsy decals on the side.

The other way they are looking for help is through financial contributions through a GoFundMe set up by one of the adult leaders of the troop to help cover the cost of getting the supplies needed to still embark on the planned trip to Tomahawk Scout Camp, scheduled to start this Sunday.

The donations would cover the supplies necessary for 15 scouts and 5 adults to go on the trip, with an $8,000 goal set for the GoFundMe. As of the time of this article being written on Wednesday afternoon, donors have contributed almost half of the fundraiser's goal.

If you'd like to help, you can make a donation through their GoFundMe (found here). Also, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the trailer, should you see it around the area somewhere.
