So, about that news yesterday that Anthony Barr was leaving...it's not happening. It was reported yesterday that free agent linebacker Anthony Barr would would be signing a deal with the New York Jets when free agency opens later this week, but reports today say that he has changed his mind and will stay with the Vikings.

NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo shared on Twitter Tuesday that Barr has decided to agree to terms to stay in Minnesota, less than 24 hours after reports were that the Jets situation was a done deal, and the only formality was to sign on the dotted line once free agency opens up on the 13th.

This news comes just hours after it was reported that the Jets also agreed to terms on a deal to bring linebacker C.J. Mosley into New York. The combination of Mosley and Barr likely had Jets fans salivating, but it turns out Barr had other plans.

Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network shared that Barr considered his decision, then called the Jets and backed out of the pending deal.

Ian Rapoport from the NFL Network is reporting that Barr is agreeing to a 5-year, $67.5 million deal. $33 million of that is guaranteed, and the contract has a potential value of $77.5 million with incentives.
