As excitement builds for the NFL week 1 matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings, Packers coach Matt LaFleur is offering up some opinions on US Bank Stadium and the Gjallarhorn.

Yesterday the media got a chance to meet with the Packer's head coach and talk to some players about some thoughts about playing at US Bank Stadium while one player had some nice things to say, Coach LaFleur wasn't so nice.

While talking to the media about the week one matchup at US Bank Stadium, LaFleur said they "love going into a hostile environment like Minnesota. Hear that annoying horn that they like to blow, and the Skol chant." Excuse me, annoying horn?! Says the guy that coaches the team with the lamest chant in the NFL.

Ryan Wood is the Packers beat writer for Green Bay Press-Gazette and he tweeted about Kenny Clark's impressions of playing at US Bank Stadium, he said, "I love it. I love the Skol chant, I love the horn."

The Vikings and Packers meet on Sunday for the kickoff weekend of the NFL season, neither team has played any starters during the preseason, so it will both teams will be fired up and ready to play for the 3:25 start time from US Bank Stadium.

LaFleur hopes to see lots of green and gold in the seats on Sunday, saying, "hopefully our Packer fans will show up in droves and support us." Vikings' head coach Kevin O'Connell doesn't see it the same way, saying early in August, "I don’t want to see any green, I don’t want to see any yellow, at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sept. 11."

Of course, none of this will actually matter on Sunday when the two teams are battling for first place in the NFC North, but hopefully, the Gjallarhorn gets used more than usual this first game of the season as a special gift to the Pack.
