Spoon's Bar & Grill, located at 2113 W. Superior Street in Duluth's Lincoln Park, suffered a fire earlier this week that caused an estimated $75,000 in damages. This was devastating news for the new restaurant, which has quickly become a local favorite.

Owner Solomon Witherspoon and his team have truly created a place that not only has great food, but it also has a real family feel to it. The question now is how soon will they be able to reopen?

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that it will happen very soon. Witherspoon has shared the video of the damage below and he's created a GoFundMe page asking for reopening help.

We are sad to announce that Spoon’s will be shut down for several weeks because of a recent fire. We have already received so much support and love from the community and we are so thankful. We have a long ways to go but anything you can do will help us during this devastating time. If you cannot donate, please say a prayer. We want to get back to serving this beautiful community.

The financial goal for this page is listed at $10,000 and it had raised just under $1,000 in just over 12 hours. Hopefully, as word of this GoFundMe page spreads, they will continue to see financial help arrive from the community.

To their credit, they're taking this temporary setback as well as can be expected and I don't doubt for one minute that they'll be back stronger than ever with rib dinners, Taco Tuesday & Trivia, Bike Night, great music and more.
