Last Friday, two childhood friends made good on a decades old pact. If neither one of them were married by the time they each turned 50 they would marry each other. And that is just what happened.

KARE11 reports that from the time they were classmates at St. Agnes School Kimberly Dean and Ron Palmer became the best of friends. Somewhere along the line they both agreed that they were great for each other and so they made the pact.

The joke they had made some 20 years ago came to life last Friday in Como Park in St. Paul as they got married in front of 100 friends and relatives. Kimberly said she and Ron have lot's of life experience under their belts and they know what works and what doesn't.

Kim looks back on her high school crush she had on Ron and said her feelings for him from 37 years ago has only grown deeper and they are older, wiser and in love.

I am waiting for this to be turned into a Lifetime movie, this is too good of a story to just let go by the wayside. Congratulations to the happy couple, and I agree there is something to be said about waiting to get married until you are a little older and wiser.
