Minnesota Starbucks fans have probably been noticing some changes in the coffee giant's shops lately as the company continues to try to revamp its business.

Last fall, a new CEO took the helm of the company. One of the key initiatives of this new CEO is something called "Back to Starbucks", designed to simplify their menu and offer a better overall customer experience.

With over 180 locations across Minnesota, including in a number of Minnesota-based Target stores, the strategic shift looks to improve the speediness of orders, reduce confusion among customers by reducing an "overly complex" menu, and focus on providing the best quality with their new streamlined menu.

Earlier this year the company announced it would be putting limits on the size of mobile orders to help with efficiency and quality. Now some menu items are getting trimmed.

The company says about 30% of its menu could be eliminated by this fall as part of its strategy. In a step toward that, Starbucks just announced 13 drinks they will be removing soon from their menus.

Today.com reports that the following drinks will be getting the axe very soon:

  • Iced Matcha Lemonade
  • Espresso Frappuccino
  • Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino
  • White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino
  • Java Chip Frappuccino
  • Chai Crème Frappuccino
  • Caramel Ribbon Crunch Crème Frappuccino
  • Double Chocolaty Chip Crème Frappuccino
  • Chocolate Cookie Crumble Crème Frappuccino
  • White Chocolate Crème Frappuccino
  • White Hot Chocolate
  • Royal English Breakfast Latte
  • Honey Almondmilk Flat White

The company is offering some menu alternatives as suggestions to fans who enjoy those beverages.

Starbucks says these 13 beverages were chosen to be eliminated due to underperforming sales and/or similar options that also exist on the menu.

When will these drinks no longer be available?

The plan is to remove these drinks by March 4 from store menus, meaning that you only have a matter of a few days left to be able to order them if one happens to be your favorite.

The good news is that there may be a similar alternative or you might be able to customize one of the remaining menu offerings to get something pretty similar to one of the removed items.

What does this trimming of the Starbucks menu mean for their seasonal offerings?

While things may be a little different in terms of the number of seasonal offerings, it sounds like they intend to continue changing up some of their menu for the seasons.

Starbucks shared a social media post earlier this month explaining that their spring menu will drop in March. Based on this, their new spring menu will feature a couple of returning items and new features.

Some of the spring items include:

  • Iced Lavender Oatmilk Latte
  • Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha
  • Cherry Chai (New)
  • Jalapeño Chicken Pocket (New)
