The Superior School District shared guidelines they have received from WIAA about fall sports during the COVID-19 pandemic. As result of the guidelines, they have moved Volleyball and Football to the spring of 2021.

They shared a press release via Facebook on Thursday with the news along with what they are doing for other fall sports. Practices this last week started for Girls Golf, Girls Tennis, Girls Swim & Dive, and Boys & Girls Cross Country. Boys Soccer will begin their practices on September 7.

Following the WIAA guidelines, Volleyball will begin practice the week of February 22, 2021. Football will start the week of March 8, 2021.

As far as spectators attending sporting events, indoor activities will be limited to just essential personnel such as coaches, players, officials, medical staff, and media. This applies to swimming and diving sports. They have plans in place to utilize live streaming as much as possible. Outdoor events will require spectators to wear masks even when outside as cheering can spread the virus. People will be asked to remain in their family untis 6 feet apart from other units. These guidelines only apply to Superior home games, and away games will have to follow the individual schools' protocols. Superior district reserves the right to ban spectators from any sporting event.
