Many Twin Ports area roadways have massive piles of snow on either side from the heavy snow we've seen to open the winter season, and Superior Street is no exception. To increase accessibility, visibility, and overall safety, city crews will begin the process of removing snow from Superior Street early Thursday morning (December 19).

Maintenance crews will start this snow removal process very early Thursday morning, working from west to east along Superior Street. The project will begin around 2:00 am on Thursday morning at 6th Avenue West, working eastward through Downtown Duluth. The goal is to have the project completed by 7:00 am on Thursday.

No parking signs (like the one above) are being posted to allow crews to efficiently clear snow. If the project takes longer, crews will continue to work after 7:00 am on Thursday morning until the project is complete. City officials remind the public to abide no parking signs and other parking restrictions to avoid ticketing and towing.
