Surfers Take to Lake Superior to Hit Some Big Waves With The Air Temperature at -13 Degrees [VIDEO]

A group of surfers in the area love to hit the water of chilly Lake Superior all year long, and with the gusty winds and cold temperatures they pretty much had the lake all to themselves.

I have seen some adventuresome surfers out in Canal Park during big storms, but this group of surfers usually only heads out when the weather is colder and very windy, rarely ever surfing in the summer. Obviously all of these surfers are well trained and know the limits of what they can and can't do. I love how they all described the lake as being fairly warm at about 38 degrees!

They were surfing at Stony Point and the video was made on Sunday December 31st 2013, the beginning of this horrible cold snap, but heaven to these guys!
