Is it just me, or has anybody else noticed that within the last week there's been house after house with full blown Christmas lights on. Am I missing something? Is this some type of way to show your support of a cause? If not turn them off!
I believe that I am an expert on artificial trees since that is all we had growing up, except I think for maybe one year. The reason? My dad was an Insurance salesman and he was convinced that our house would catch on fire with a real tree.
This year we are not putting up a Christmas tree or decorations around the house, and in a way I feel like my neighbors will wonder what is wrong with us?
Thank goodness we only have our house decorated for the Holidays once a year because right out of the gate we have had some close calls with our pets destroying some of the decorations.
We all know the person who goes all out decorating for the Holidays. Can you imagine if your job was to decorate the White House? Thankfully First Dog Bo is making sure that everything is up to snuff, I mean "whoof."
On Saturday, November 17th at 4:55 PM Santa will arrive at Bentleyville by plane! Santa will be sky diving into Bayfront Festival Park, land next to the 128 foot Christmas tree then scurry to his Santa house in time to greet all the children who come to visit. A special invitation is extended to everyone to welcome Santa as he arrives at Bayfront Park. Is that a grand entrance or what?
