Target Offering Delivery and Pickup for Wine, Beer & Liquor
Just when you thought Target couldn't get any better, the Minnesota based retailer is rolling out delivery and same day pickup of adult beverages.
Starting soon Target says it will offer order pickup and/or drive up service for wine, beer and liquor products. They will also provide same-day delivery with delivery service Shipt through more than 600 locations across the country. The bad news? As of now, the service won't be available in Minnesota. But that will change in time.
The service will start rolling out over the next week or so in 29 states across the country. Target says the delivery service will be available where local laws permit it.
When checking out with adult beverages in their cart, customers will be asked to verify their age and the same will apply when ordering for delivery through Shipt.
Rick Gomez, executive vice president and chief food and beverage officer at Target says, "Our adult beverage category is one of the fastest-growing divisions within our food and beverage business, and we continue to hear from guests how much they love our fast, easy and safe same-day services."
While Minnesotans may have to wait a bit for the adult beverage pickup and delivery, Wisconsin is also not getting the service right now either. The nearest states offering the service is Michigan and South Dakota.
