Target’s Car Seat Trade In Event Started This Week
Every parent knows how important a proper fitting and working car seat is, but what happens when your child out grows his or her seat? According to Target.com the life of the average car seat is 6 years, so you should not try to sell or giveaway one that is older than that. Also, most recycling centers do not take them and if the seat is broken or been in an accident it should be replaced immediately.
Target stores across the country have brought back there car seat recycling program on now through May 5th. In order to avoid these car seats ending up ion a landfill somewhere through this program along with Waste Management takes these old car seats to be recycled to make grocery carts, plastic buckets and construction materials.
How does this Work? Bring any car seat into your local Target store and you will receive a 20% off coupon good towards a new car seat booster seat, car seat base, travel system, or stroller from their stores or online. Look for the drop box near guest services and a Target Representative will give you the coupon which is good until May 19th 2018. The Target in Duluth near Miller Hill Mall is participating in the program.
