The Animal Allies Pet Of The Week Is A Sweet Dog Named Tinker
Tinker is a beautiful brown and white, American Staffordshire Terrier who is 2 years old, she is rock solid at 48 pounds. She ended up at Animal Allies after being transferred from another shelter, Thankfully Tinker is at the shelter during the summer because she is very active and is able to spend time outside running around and playing.
Tinker loves toys but make sure you get her durable ones because she is a chewer! She love treats too and she will even show you how good she can sit if you promise her a treat afterwards. Obviously Tinker is not the type of dog for someone who is a couch potato, she is a young strong dog that needs lots of exercise. No need necessarily for a big fenced in yard, although that would be great, but she will need to be walked daily and maybe a visit to a dog park once in a while so she can run and stretch her legs.
Tinker has been spayed, vet checked, updated on all her shots, and micro chipped. If you are interested in adopting Tinker, please call the adoption team at 218-722-5341 for more information! The adoption staff is available by phone starting right at 10:30 to 6:00 PM Tuesday-Saturday, and 10:30 to 4:00 PM Sunday. The adoption process is first come first serve so whoever reaches our staff first will have the opportunity to place a hold. Plus, Animal Allies provides free lifetime post-adoption counseling to help with any behavioral issues or concerns you may have for your new pet!
Don't forget about Walk For Animals on Thursday July 15 from 4;00-8:00pm at the new location of Leif Erickson Park. This is one of their biggest fundraisers of the year so please show your support by coming to the event, supporting the vendors or if possible to make a donation. Anything and everything is appreciated.
