Downtown Duluth will have some travel restrictions starting early in the morning tomorrow for the Annual Gobble Gallop race on Thanksgiving Day. There are 3 different races with the main race being a 5K.

The Gobble Gallop is organized by Duluth Running Co. and with this race it will raise a minimum of $3,000 for Second Harvest Northern Food Bank from the event and it’s gift matching sponsors.

According to CBS3.com below is the traffic information for the race:

"Beginning at 7:00 a.m., parking restrictions will go into place on London Road from 10th Avenue E to 14th Avenue E, and on Superior Street from 10th Avenue E to 4th Avenue W.

London Road will close at 7:30 AM from 10th Avenue E to 14th Avenue E ahead of race setup and the kid’s run, while Superior Street will close at 8:45 AM from 12th Avenue E to 5th Avenue W ahead of the main race.

Eastbound Superior Street traffic will be detoured at 6th Avenue W to 2nd Street to continue east. while westbound traffic will be detoured at 12th Avenue E to 1st Street to continue west.

Lake Avenue will also be closed at Superior Street while the races take place.

You can still access Canal Park and Park Point via 5th Avenue W to Railroad Street, or using the I-35 exits at Lake Avenue and 5th Avenue W."

Traffic should return to normal by 11:30 a.m.
