It is time once again for the annual Storefront Window Display and Lighting Contest in downtown Duluth as area businesses are busy decorating their store fronts for the holidays.  The Greater Downtown Council sponsors the event every year to promote shopping downtown for the Holidays.

19 businesses in all are participating and the curtains will be removed on Friday November 16 for people to look inside and vote on who has the best decorations. Nan Bodell-Moen owner of  Salon Capelli won an award last year and plans on another win. According to WDIO she said, "We are going with a retro theme this year. It's fun to see how excited customers are about the window displays, and all the great support we get from people walking down the street."

Make sure to keep an eye out for the decorations at the following businesses:

A & L Properties, Art in the Alley, CSL Plasma Services, Duluth Area Family YMCA, Duluth Coffee Company, Duluth Pack, Duluth Trading Company, Electric Fetus, Fitger's, Grandma's Marathon, Lake Superior Art Glass, Lester River Trading Co, Market Day Duluth, Minnesota Power, Minnesota Surplus & Outfitters, PS Rudie, Salon Capelli, Tischer Photographic Gallery and Whimsy.
