Twin Ports Honda Drivers Check Out This Important Recall
Honda issued a huge recall today that will affect many drivers in the Twin Ports area.
Over 650,000 vehicles were recalled by Honda today because of a faulty fuel pump that could fail causing the engine to, of course, stop running. Not a great thing obviously, and thankfully the carmaker says that there have been no crashes or injuries reported due to the recalled part.
The recall affects the majority of Honda and Acura made vehicles between 2018 and 2020. This recall does include the companies most popular small SUV the CR-V, that model sells over 300,000 units a year for Honda.
Honda says owners of the affected vehicles will start getting notified in May to bring their car into a dealer to have the defective part replaced. The recall includes the mentioned CR-V, various Honda Accord models, Acura ILX, MDX, RDX and TLX models, Honda Civic, Honda Odyssey, and more.
Car and Driver has a complete list for you to check out here. Additionally, you can enter your VIN number on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's website to see if your vehicle is included.
Honda, founded in 1946, is the third largest car brand in the world only behind Volkswagen and the leader Toyota. Since 2016 the carmaker has sold over 1.6 million vehicles per year in the United States and around 5 million units a year worldwide.
