The annual ValleySCARE Halloween Haunt at Valleyfair is returning this year starting October 2-30 and they are making sure that everyone has a fun time, but safety is of the ultimate concern at the park. This year they have instituted a policy that no bags including backpacks, purses, or diaper bags are allowed. But guests who require health accommodations may bring a bag no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” containing only medically necessary items and all bags will be searched before going into the park.

According to Bring Me The News : "In 2018 opening night of "ValleySCARE" at Valleyfair turned into chaos as the park was evacuated due to numerous fights. Shakopee Police Department said "the number of individuals running throughout the park increased substantially and was difficult to control," and "due to the large number of altercations" they decided to evacuate Valleyfair. For whatever reason, some grown adult men and women get dressed up in a costume or mask and seem to think they have the right to act a fool and cause trouble. I am pretty sure that they feel invincible in a way because they are dressed up like someone or something else. So, let's try this and be a good example for any kids that might be around. And plan ahead to carry around your stuff.
