Watch a Meteor Streak Across The Midwest

The sky over parts of Wisconsin and Illinois lit up early Monday morning as meteor flew overhead.

The event happened around 1:30 am and was captured by several cameras. Check out the compilation video put together by the Associated Press.

The American Meteor Society received over 185 reports of the incident from 8 states and Canada. They also say that the meteor traveled "Southwest to Northeast (and) ended its flight on the Lake Michigan somewhere between Sheboygan, WI, and Manitowoc, WI."
