This is every parent's nightmare caught on video. An 11-year-old is patiently waiting at her bus stop in Pensacola, Florida. Then, around 7:00 a.m., she narrowly escapes being kidnapped by a man authorities believe may have been watching the girl for weeks.

The terrifying incident was captured on a surveillance camera and you can see above how close this poor girl came to being abducted in broad daylight.

The suspect circles in a white Dodge Journey before ultimately parking near the girl. He then races out and attempts to grab her. She bravely fights with him, causing him to fall with her in his arms. Thankfully, he then abandons this attempt and runs back to his vehicle as the victim runs in the opposite direction.

According to a story from Fox 9, KMSP-TV:

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said the man was Hispanic, possibly in his 30s or 40s, and was armed with a knife.

After the suspect was placed in custody, the sheriff said they realized part of the vehicle he was driving had been freshly painted, possibly in an attempt to evade capture.

The sheriff said the man still had some "blue goop" on him, which the victim wiped on him when he attacked.

Late Tuesday night, the sheriff identified the suspect as 30-year-old Jared Paul Stanga, saying he has a lengthy history that includes the abuse of a child.
