If you're looking for some beautiful places to enjoy nature, Wisconsin definitely has several.

The multitude of state parks across the Badger State and the expansive shoreline along both Lake Superior and Lake Michigan are just some of the examples of places with epic beauty in Wisconsin.

If you had to narrow it down to just one or two, what would you say are the most beautiful places in Wisconsin?

The travel publication Condé Nast Traveler recently published their list of the 50 most beautiful places in the country. They didn't just pick one per state. Instead, they just identified what they think are the 50 most beautiful places worth visiting.

Wisconsin ended up with not just one, but two on the list! The Badger State beat out Minnesota, who only had one.

If you've ever been to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore in Northern Wisconsin, you know the "Jewels of Lake Superior" offer a lot of beauty.

With 21 islands and 12 miles of shoreline along Lake Superior, this destination at the tip of Wisconsin's Bayfield Peninsula has some incredible scenery and great outdoor activity opportunities.

In their brief summary about the Apostle Islands, the publication highlighted the great kayaking opportunities in the summertime and the chance to check out ice caves in the winter.

Wisconsin Beautiful Destination Two: Door County

Arguably one of the top (if not the top) destinations in Wisconsin for outdoor fun, Door County also made the list.

Home to a couple of state parks, a stunning shoreline along Lake Michigan, and ample outdoor activities and scenery, there's a reason Door County is so popular.

While it's a few hours' worth of a drive from the state's biggest cities like Madison and Milwaukee, it's still a gem that's relatively close and absolutely worth the drive.

The author of the article about the most beautiful places in the country highlighted the famous cherry trees in bloom in the springtime, though anyone who's been there during other seasons knows it offers incredible beauty all year long.
