Only a couple of weeks from the start of the 2026 Wisconsin State Fair, organizers just announced a big change to their entertainment lineup.

The 11 nights of live music lined up for the Bank Five Nine Main Stage this year included The Beach Boys, who were set to be the final show in this year's entertainment series on Sunday, August 16.

Wisconsin State Fair organizers announced yesterday (July 22) that the Beach Boys' show has now been cancelled.

This isn't the only Beach Boys show that's been cancelled, however.

The group announced that a whole series of shows on their 'Endless Summer Gold' tour have been cancelled, with shows between July 23 and September 3 being scrapped. The Wisconsin State Fair date on August 16 is squarely in the middle of that cancellation window.

The reason for the cancellation of these shows, according to a statement from the band, is to "recharge" before resuming the tour this fall.

In a statement shared to multiple places online, the band said the following:

"We've been having a blast out there, and to keep the good vibrations going strong, we'll be taking a short break to recharge before getting back on the road in September. Thanks for your understanding — we can't wait to see you back out there."

For anyone who may have had tickets to the Wisconsin State Fair Beach Boys show, the fair says everyone will get a refund. If you bought them online via eTix, you should see an automatic refund in the next 7-14 business days. If you purchased tickets using cash through the ticket office, you'll need to visit them to get a refund.

In a statement to the media, the Wisconsin State Fair says there will not be a replacement act for that Sunday night.
