April 17, 2013 The best part of "The Voice" is going on now--the battle rounds. Pitting two members of each team together to sing-off for their coaches, and the better of the two moves on. I was a little disappointed that they skipped through a few of the battles last night, only showing highlights and the winner. I'm glad they showed the match between Caroline Glaser and Danielle Bradbery from Team Blake singing Corinne Bailey Rae's "Put Your Records On."

Yesterday brought the bizarre and tragic news that 21 year-old 'Buckwild' star Shain Gandee had been found dead after 31 hours missing, along with his uncle and a third unidentified male inside an off-road truck. April 2, 2013 I was never a huge Shakira fan. That is, until I started watching her on "The Voice" this season. She has way more personality than Christina Aguilera ever did (sorry Xtina!) and she's funny! There's no serious "bickering" between her and the other coaches, and the whole vibe of the show is so much better. Oh, and Usher is easy on the eyes too.
