Local Veterans Day Activities
Area Veterans Day Celebrations:
Everyone from campus and the community is invited to take part in the Veterans Day Honoring Ceremony at NOON Friday, Nov. 11, at the flag pole just off of Catlin Avenue near McCaskill Hall.
Following the ceremony a barbeque lunch will be provided at the Marovich Wellness Center, sponsored by the UW-Superior BBQ Club and Veterans & Friends Club.
In remembrance of Veterans Day Superior Elks #403 would like to Invite All veterans and there spouses for a free dinner at the lodge. Please call the lodge to reserve a seat 715-394-7403
Veterans Day Parade and City of Duluth Celebration
10:00am Veterans parade – Starting at the Depot and ending at the DECC. If walking in the parade is difficult, veterans can ride on a mililtary vehicle to the DECC.
11:00am City of Duluth Veteran Celebration – At the DECC. Admission is free.

The Carlton County Historical Society will host a Veteran’s Day program on Thursday, November 11th at 11 am at the CCHS museum, 406 Cloquet Avenue, in Cloquet, MN. This event is free and open to the public.
The Veteran’s Day program relates to the exhibit “Cemeteries of Carlton County”, which includes photos of many Carlton County veterans and their gravesites as well as military uniforms from WWI, WWII and the Korean War.
