I am happy to report that according to Veterinary Practice News Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen have been cleared for travel by the North Pole’s veterinarian. His name is John Howe, DVM, and he is Santa’s personal animal caregiver and president of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Howe visited the North Pole earlier this month to give all the reindeer a preflight physical, and make sure they are updated on all their shots.

Just like our pets we have at home Santa has to make sure that all his reindeer are healthy and ready to fly all over the world. He was also busy validating all their certificates to be able to go to all the different countries as well. Dr. Howe said " We need to make sure the reindeer aren’t harboring any diseases they could then potentially spread to animals in other parts of the world. And at the same time, making sure they’re healthy also means they’re less likely to catch any diseases themselves on that long global flight."

Don’t forget, you can also track Santa using the NORAD Santa tracker online. With the reindeer all checked out and ready to go, you can follow their journey delivering gifts across the globe. Now let's just hope that all you boys and girls in the Northland are on Santa's nice list this year, which I am fairly sure everybody is! :)
