Selena Gomez is shedding some light on her ring from Justin Bieber and on her first tattoo. The first things she’d like to clarify: The ring isn’t an engagement band, and the tat’s not a heart!
Gomez actually got a tiny music note inked on her wrist, an ode to the importance of music in her life. She and the Scene are on a break so she can do more movies, so perhaps it’s a reminder to her fans that she’s still a songstress at heart.
Gomez talked to Access Hollywood about her ink (quotes via the Daily Mail). ”It’s a music note. Everybody thought that it was a heart for some reason, but music is a big influence in my life,” she dished. ”I was named after a singer, I’m a singer and a lot of other personal reasons, so, that’s what I got.”
As for her bling? Jelena fans, don’t get ahead of yourselves! It’s not an engagement ring nor is it even a promise ring, she revealed. “No, no — that’s like almost a friendship ring,” Gomez said. “It’s just for fun.” Good thing, too — Biebs isn’t even 18 til Thursday!
