A Proctor Teacher has Been Selected to Join National Geographic on a 2 Week Expedition

Leah Gagne is an 8th grade teacher from Proctor and was 1 of 3 teachers selected from the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico as a Grosvenor Teacher Fellow through National Geographic and Linblad Expeditions and will be on the National Geographic Explorer.

Gagne explained that she applied to be a part of this program to get hands on experience in remote places, which I am sure she will get her wish. Her trip will happen May 9th-23rd and she will be exploring and doing experiments in the field in the British and Irish Isles.

What a great experience for her and her students as she can share her experiences of this once in a lifetime trip and opportunity. Here is a map of the daily excursion she will be on.
