With the rising costs of food at the grocery store, here's a great way to make sure that there's enough food on the table. The Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency (AEOA) is bringing their Free Produce Events back to the Northland for another summer.

The events were well received last year during the pandemic so they're back by popular demand.  They're being offered through a partnership with St. Louis County and Capital City Fruit all summer long on Thursdays.

Similar to how they were run last year, the events will still be in a drive-through fashion and contactless.

There are some changes, though this summer.  AEOA will only plans to distribute the free produce boxes in St. Louis County, utilizing locations in Hermantown, Hibbing, and Virginia.  In addition, the agency will be collecting self-reported data - things like household size, female head of household, race, ethnicity, and income.  Also, there will be a limit of three families per vehicle.

Here are the dates and times for the Free Produce Events organized by the Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency, listed by location:

Hermantown - at the Arrowhead Transit Building, 4995 Miller Trunk Highway
