The COVID-19 Pandemic has canceled virtually every summer event that was planned for the area, but what about the biggest fall gathering, the Bayfield Apple Festival?

This year's Bayfield Apple Festival is scheduled to happen October 2nd - 4th and as of today, organizers say the festival is still and go and HAS NOT been canceled.

They said in a Facebook post, "Our Bayfield Chamber Board will continue discussing this week at their regular board meeting. Safety for our community, employees, and visitors is always the priority."

So there you have it, as of now you can still look forward to the apple pie, delicious apples, and other treats, along with the parade, craft fair, and other events associated with the yearly tradition.

Over 50,000 thousand people pack into the small town of Bayfield for the Applefest each year that will be in its 58th year if it happens this year.

The Bayfield Apple Festival is ranked as one of the best festivals in the state and country by USA Today and other publications.

Let's all keep our fingers crossed that we don't see another big wave this fall that forces them to cancel the event.
