The team at Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqua in Bayfield, Wisconsin, had been teasing a "Super Secret Show" for later on this season, which had a lot of people speculating.

They said in the "Super Secret Show" social media event that at the time they couldn't announce who was playing yet, but "trust us when we say this is one of the most requested returns in our history."

They dropped some hints that it was a legendary act in the venue's history, but that they hadn't been there in a while.

Well, this week Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqua officially revealed the exciting news, that Duluth's Trampled By Turtles would be returning for the first time in several years later on this season.

Joining Trampled By Turtles for this show will be The Last Reveal, combining for what should be a packed show on Thursday, September 10, starting at 7:30 pm.

Tickets for the show went on sale before the bands had even been announced, and it was still a "secret". Big Top Chautauqua said that more than 1,400 tickets were sold before announcing the bands.

So, either people had a strong suspicion of who it could be based on the clues, or they were just trusting the venue had a great show lined up.

Tickets are still available through the Big Top Chautauqua website if you want to see them.

Being it's a reasonable road trip from the Duluth area, I could see a lot of Twin Ports TBT fans making the journey to see them, since the band didn't perform at Bayfront in Duluth this year as they have many times in years past.

That said, I bet it will be a sold-out show this September!

A few other highlights at Big Top Chautauqua yet this season include Judy Collins,  The Wallflowers, and Charlie Parr. You can see their full schedule here.
