Check Out What Happened At The Lake Superior Ice Festival 2022

This year's Lake Superior Ice Festival has come and gone and check out everything that happened in Superior, Wisconsin for this year's festivities.

Every year the community in Superior gets together and unites to show how much fun winter can be. This year's celebration was January 28th - the 29th. Dubbed as a family-friendly event Their vision according to their webpage is:

To attract people of all ages and abilities to share in Superior's passion for all things winter and come together to celebrate the coolest aspects of our city.

From kid events like the snow slide to ice sculptures, MIRA ice racing to fire twirlers, and so much more. There was really something fun for everyone. If ya missed it, the good news is it's a yearly thing. With over 30 different partners, the event wouldn't be possible without the community.

Let's go over some highlights caught on the Duluth Harbor Cam:

The Ice Carousel:

Probably one of the coolest things I've ever seen. It was a man-made circular piece of ice, cut, and made to spin like a carousel within a larger body of frozen water. It was all courtesy of Barker’s Island Marina. There was even a space for people to sit and enjoy company.

Kismet Hot Air Balloon:

From the Sweetly Kismet Candy Store in Carlton, MN the balloon was such a cool sight to see. The name of the balloon was perfect, "Sugar High".

Fireworks:

Another awesome sight to close the weekend of fun festivities, fireworks! What a tribute to some great winter fun.

I for one, cannot wait to see what is in store for next years festivities. For those that attended, memories for a lifetime.
