City of Duluth Closes All Natural Surface Trails

The trials are in bad shape right now.

The City of Duluth along with the Superior Hiking Trail Association and the Cyclists of Gitchee Gumee Shores have decided to close the trails "due to the annual fall freeze period, presenting wet soil conditions."

The trails will be closed until further notice. The city expects to open them "once surface conditions improve, and the ground has completely frozen."
